QuestionBud ("we", "us", "our") is a SaaS platform operated by 5minMindful. We help YouTube creators build AI-powered assistants trained on their own video content. Our service is available at questionbud.com.

2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you subscribe, we collect your email address and billing information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store full card details).
YouTube content data: With your authorization, we access your YouTube channel's video transcripts, titles, descriptions, and comments to train your AI assistant. We access only the content you grant us permission to via YouTube's OAuth flow.
Usage data: We collect information about how you and your fans use the bot, including questions asked, responses given, and interaction timestamps. This data is used to power your dashboard analytics.
Technical data: Standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and access times. These are used for security and performance monitoring.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the QuestionBud service
- To train and power your personal AI assistant using your YouTube content
- To send you transactional emails (account access, billing receipts)
- To display analytics in your creator dashboard
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train shared AI models. Your content is used exclusively to power your own bot.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third-party services to operate QuestionBud:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
- OpenAI — AI responses. Your content is sent to OpenAI's API to generate answers. OpenAI Privacy Policy
- Supabase — database and authentication. Supabase Privacy Policy
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- YouTube API — content access. Use of YouTube data is subject to Google's Privacy Policy
5. YouTube API Services
QuestionBud uses YouTube API Services. By using our service, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. You may revoke our access to your YouTube account at any time via your Google Security Settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data and indexed content for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel, your data is retained for 30 days to allow for reactivation, then permanently deleted upon request.
Fan conversation logs (questions and answers) are retained for 12 months by default to power your dashboard analytics.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, multi-tenant data isolation, and role-based access controls. Each creator's data is logically isolated and inaccessible to other users.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability

9. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify active subscribers by email before any material changes take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
